Quartz Veterinary Ultrasound was established by Dr Pia Hayat to provide a quality ultrasound service with professional expertise.
Dr Pia Hayat BVSc (Hons)
Pia completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at The University of Melbourne in 2002 graduating with First Class Honours. She has undertaken further post graduate study through The University of Sydney completing Distance Education Surgery in 2007 and Distance Education Sonology in 2010.
Pia has worked as a full time general practitioner and locum vet in many clinics throughout Melbourne, Perth and the UK in the last 22years. In fact, she originally started her career in Bendigo back in 2003!
Pia has previously worked with Soundiagnosis, a mobile ultrasound company which services veterinary clinics throughout metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington & Bellarine Peninsulas.
She has also completed further extensive sonology training in 2017 at the world-renowned Sound Academy of Veterinary Imaging in Texas (USA), and has certificates in:

Always dedicated to her veterinary patients and ultrasonography, Pia enjoys mountain biking in her spare time with her cheeky Labradors Olive & Tully to keep her on her toes!
Georgie Clowes
Veterinary Nurse & Receptionist
Georgie has been a part of the Quartz Veterinary Ultrasound team since it was established in 2020. She has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing locally in Bendigo and has advanced her education in extra courses such as Practice of Anaesthesia and Pain Management. She continues to apply her skills in general practice and emergency work and has learnt to assist in Ultrasonography under the guidance of Dr Pia.
Georgie prides herself in the compassion she provides for her patients, and loves spending time with Mavis the Miniature Schnauzer and her tuxedo cat Milfred.
